ENROLLING K-5 FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR
-John C. Maxwell
We are accepting ages 5 through 12 (K-5) for the 2025-2026 school year. As we grow our campus year-to-year, we will expand to ages 5 through 18 (K-12).
Each day will start with a warm welcome, pledge of allegiance, and morning gathering where goals and intentions are outlined for the day. From there, learners will embark on a series of Montessori-inspired stations, adaptive learning software, and various engineering projects designed to spark curiosity and foster critical thinking.
Each day will include Socratic discussions, during which learners are encouraged to ask questions, think deeply, and express ideas. This approach enhances communication skills, builds confidence, and fosters an environment of civil debate, conflict resolution, and learning through understanding one another.
Each day will include time outdoors on our beautiful campus in the woods. Whether through free play, exploring nature, learning outdoor skills, or participating in physical fitness activities, children will develop resilience, creativity, and an appreciation of nature.
Throughout each day and each lesson, we weave in opportunities for character development through emphasis on the Apogee Code.
Throughout the school year, learners will be challenged with projects that integrate what they are learning in their core academics with real-life skills. They will navigate budgets, solve problems, collaborate with peers, and tap into their creativity during each six-week cycle.
We are not a faith-based school. However, our foundation is rooted in virtues and values we believe will help cultivate great humans and future leaders. The Apogee Strong Code is integrity, bravery, compassion, politeness, honesty, honor, and loyalty. Every lesson and every project are tied to that moral code.
Our goal is to develop real-world skills and tools our learners can use throughout life. Through core academics and project-based learning, they don't just learn the material; they learn why it's important and how to apply it. We use Socratic conversation, rhetoric, and debate to build communication, critical thinking, and civil discourse abilities. Through our partnership with Physiology First, we'll focus on exercise, health, and nutrition through the lens of what is learned in academic subjects such as science and math.
Each student will work at an independent pace through the core subjects of reading, writing, and mathmatics. Our teachers will work with each student and family to develop and set academic goals. Our mission is to ignite each child's innate curiosity and passion for learning by providing an environment in which he or she is empowered to explore, create, and grow as an independent free thinker.
Students will be in mixed-age classrooms (K-2 and 3-5 in 2025/26). We believe children thrive when they learn alongside peers of different ages. This approach allows each to advance at his or her own pace, while building skills in collaboration and leadership.
Each day, students will participate in exercise. Through our partnership with Physiology First, we have access to the most effective age-appropriate workouts and physiology lessons to improve physical and mental health. In addition, we will offer weekly training in martial arts.
As much as possible, we'll take classes outside on our beautiful wooded campus, because we believe humans are meant to connect with nature. Additionally, each day includes a robust physical education and fitness program that includes exercise and lessons in physiology, biology, nutrition, mental and physical wellness.
We are a private school; however, we are so much more than a K-12 campus. We are a center for growth and education for the entire family.
Absolutely. Students at Apogee Summit will be prepared for academic success and lifelong learning. Our focus on critical thinking, creativity, and hands-on integrative learning instills deep understanding and problem-solving skills essential for college readiness. Through personalized learning plans and mastery-based assessments, students develop self-confidence and a love for learning that will carry them to their next academic steps.
Apogee Strong is able to provide accredited college-level courses. As we expand our own campus, we will incorporate those classes into the education available to high school students, as well as offering degree opportunities for those who have graduated.
Each week will include different activities and guest instructors from the community who will share their expertise in things such as cooking, health, self-defense, finance, outdoor survival skills, and more.
Absolutely. Fridays are included for our full-time students, but open to any child in the appropriate age ranges.
Parents are critical to the success of Apogee Summit students. Parents must understand that this model of education works only when what is taught in school and at home reinforce one another.
Parents of students enrolled full-time at Apogee Summit have free access to Apogee Strong's Apogee Man and Apogee Woman yearlong intensive self-development programs (a $4,800 value!). These are optional, but highly encouraged.
